AMG live stream round up - 5th April 2022
Tuesday's AMG livestream was a Legion painting session, with Dallas Kemp painting up the new Shadow Collective Commander Maul. He decided to paint Maul as 'Jedi Maul', or 'Maul going to the mall, Maul'.
Information was sparse throughout the stream but we did garner a few bits of new information.
Looking at the Shadow Collective starter box, it will come with 9 command cards in total.
3 new generic mercenary command cards
3 new Maul command cards
3 reprints of the CIS Maul command cards
These generic mercenary command cards will also be in the individual unit boxes for the Pykes, Black Sun and Mandalorian Super Commandos. They confirmed that the individual unit boxes will not contain anything unique from the Shadow Collective starter set. In fact they confirmed the opposite, the starter set will contain a few uniques which the individual units boxes will not contain.
Maul (and his new command cards) is the obvious one - he will not be available as an individual purchase - similar to Commander Luke, Commander Vader, Obi-Wan and Grievous.
The Darksaber upgrade will only be available in the starter set.
Rook Kast will not be available in the individual unit box for the Mandalorian Super Commandos - only in the starter set.
They did give us some more information on Rook - she will be a heavy weapon upgrade with the Leader keyword.
They reconfirmed that the Shadow Collective battle force (remember it's not a new faction) will have its own force organisation chart. This means it won't follow the usual 800 point army building rules of 1-2 commanders, 0-2 operatives, 3-6 corps...... They are yet to give away what it will be.
We also got some information on the three Bs - Boba, Bossk and Bane - the updated Bounty Hunter unit cards that are coming in the Upgrade Card Pack II. Their command cards have not changed (sad face for Boba). We also found out that Bossk will be able to be taken by CIS as well as the Imperials and Bane can be taken by the Imperials as well as the CIS.
